Camp “professions kaleidoscope” at the New Virgin School

From 6 to 10 August, a camp “professions kaleidoscope” was held at the New Junior School. It included 19 young people from BOTH Stružānu parish and Rezekne. During this camp, young people participated in a variety of activities, met with representatives of various professions, worked in practice.
On Monday, the camp participants met each other. By typing their names, the legendary camp flag was added, filling the worksheets, checking the name of their professions. Under the direction of Lectores Wellga Krukovsk, young people met the professions of fashion designer, each of whom had the opportunity to play their original dress, which was then shown in the special fashion. At the end of the first day there were fun activities at the lake.
The next day they went to Rezekne, where they visited the National Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD). The firefighter Edgar Taylor explained and showed young people how and where VUGD employees worked, sketched the specifics and significance of this profession. Young people could see firefighters, rescue cars, their equipment, special interest in new, recently purchased machines. After an active rest break at the Kovu Lake, young people went to a granular production company, New Fuels, where Erica Sedola told her about its spheres and production. The excursion manager Elmar Sondor introduced the representatives of the various professions currently working in the company to see the production process of the granules, a technique that facilitates the work process.
On Wednesday, thanks to the family's exterior Inara Olshevska, the camp participants met the important profession of doctor, they could check oxygen, blood sugar, ask questions about dentistry. The nine young people welcomed Erica Bozovich, who demonstrated the theatre sports techniques and introduced the professor of the salesman. On the other hand, “Happy Home” children were able to learn more about crafts, tourism and job opportunities in this sector, each member of the camp also created their own key card. The third day's sound was an opportunity to go to the farm SIA “Sprudzeva M”, with more than 800 dairy cows, and look at the diverse agricultural technique, which was shown by SIA “Sprudzeva M” mechanic Saeed Kupruks.
In the next two days there was a lot of attractive activities, a hiking was organized, during which a variety of complicated tasks had to be performed, particularly interesting was the test of the arborist Gunta's profits with climbing plastic boxes. The members of the camp also had to feel the role of fishermen, because the materials available had to be mastered for each of their fishermen and try to catch the bigger fish. There was no soup boiling and eating. In conclusion, the best ladders and the majority of the owners received memorial prizes.
By closing the camp, the young people found the most suitable profession, wrote a number of lessons and comments about the camp: “i'd better known my friends during the camp” (Ilvars), “I enjoyed the day of hiking!” (Theresa) “I enjoyed making a key card.” (elvita), “2018 best camp!” (Charles), “I liked the firefighters, i'll go to camp next year, because it's interesting.” (Emily).
