The Latgale tourism conference “Key of success in our own hands” will be held

On December 2, the Ludza People's House will take place in Latgale tourism conference “Key of success in our own hands”, organised by Latgale tourism association “Ezerland” with support and co-financing by THE LATVIAN Tourism Department and Latgale municipalities. Latgale tourism specialists, local government leaders and other stakeholders will participate in the conference. It will discuss developments in the sector in 2016 and in the future. The participants of the conference will share experiences, telling Latgale tourism success stories and positive examples of cooperation.
A reflection on the spent tourism season will be provided by Kondral, Chairman of the board of the Latgale tourism association “Ezerland”. Inese Šīrava, head of THE LATVIAN Tourism Department, will discuss Latvia's tourism development perspectives. Iveta Kalina, Head of Administration of Latgale Planning Region, will talk about the opportunities for development of Latgale tourism. Director of the BalticTravelnews.com portal Aivars Mackevics will share his thoughts on Latgale as a tourist tourist destination. Vidzeme High School docent Dr. Geogr. Andris Klepers will talk about trends and prospects of the future development of Latgale as tourism destination. Santa Paegle, expert on North Latgale and border crossings, will share the experience of the development of tourism in Latgale.
It will be useful for participants in the conference to listen to the experience of the owners and managers of various Latgale tourism objects and to advise on the creation of competitive tourism products, the creation of authentic tourism products, the introduction of a modern and innovative offer.

The Chairman of the Board of the Latgale Tourism Association “Ezerland”, Kondrats acknowledges: “Sustainable development of the sector is only possible with strong entrepreneurs and specialists who continuously improve knowledge and are able to create innovative tourism products and provide quality services, following the rapid changes of modern requirements. Prior to the conference, the Latgale tourism industry employed a training cycle where the lecturers provided both new innovative knowledge, practical advice and innovative ideas. On the other hand, the conference is a year-end event, in which industry professionals will be invited to draw strength and inspire from the stories of Latgale's most successful entrepreneurs, local government experience. Indeed, the key to success is in our own hands, and while working in a frozen team, enjoying the success of our colleagues, we can show how strong and violent.
At the end of the conference, like last year, the “best Latgale tourism 2016” will be summed up. After the conference, they will be able to visit Ludza's old-city tourist sites - Ludza's big synagogue, Ludza amateur centre, Ludza Municipality Research Museum and Ludza Full Scale.
