A plenary session will be held on the memorial of the excellent photomarist John Gleizda
Ilzeskalna parish “Vecgailums” at the edge of the village of the village, an old flame in the shadows, stands a wooden cross. Here were houses where a working and strong family lived. A photo artist Janis Gleizds was born from these houses, who would be 91 years old in May. J.gleefd is one of the world's best-known Latvian photography artists, the photomasy he has spent half a century from his long and tragic life, which began on May 7, 1924, in Makashan (present-day Ilzeskalna) parish “Vecgailumi”.
By honouring the photograph of the excellent photograph, the photographer of the photographer of Rēzekne, John Gleizda, the municipality of Rēzekne, in collaboration with Latgale photographer, organizes a number of events that invite professional photographers and photo enthusiasts from around Latvia.
The event cycle will begin on 22 May with a photo plenary session in Jānis Gleizda's native Ilzeskalna parish, Nautrēnu parish, where the legendary photographer went to school and in other areas of the surroundings. The members of the plenary session from 22 to 24 May - three days - will be able to demonstrate their talent by perpetuating local people, buildings, Latgalian traditions, natural wealth and events.
Accommodation and food at the plenary session will be provided by the municipality of Rezekne. 79 photographers, representing 22 Latvian provinces and various photographer associations, have applied for the plenary session. Photographs will receive photos in four parishes: Ilzeskalna, Nautrēnu, Lendžu and Bērzgales. Similarly, a variety of lectures, presentations and discussions on the versatile photo art will be planned during the plenary session, where there will be a chance to hear a lot of interesting information:

As the author and organizer Igors Pličs said, photographers who would like to show presentations and lectures on various photographic topics such as “landscape”, “portrait”, “household photography” and others are also welcome. It will also be possible to see the technical beauty of John Glazda during the plenary session. After the photo plenary, each member will be invited to submit the best works for the creation of the travelling exhibition. On September 12, the memorial place dedicated to Jānis Gleizda WILL be opened IN THE Vecgailumi parish OF Ilzeskalna.
