As a continuation of the Latgale NGO project “Youth.” Action. “Dialogue.”, a youth-cycling-expedition of Ozolaines parish was held from 1 to 3 May, aimed at gathering and gathering the views of the local population on living and living in people of different nationalities, gathering information about the problems, the positive experience and the various stereotypes that exist in society.
16 young people from Ozolaines, Ozolmuižas, Sakstagala, Dricānu, Maltas and Vērēmu parish took part in the expedition. The project was provided with meals and accommodation at Ozolaines parish in the social house. In the bicycle, young people used their personal bicycles as well AS Dricānu youth society “Kukuji” provided 8 their bicycles for those young people who did not have their bicycle. During the expedition, the photo and video cameras of the “Latgale multimedia nature” association were used to collect photo and video material that was intended to be used in the making of the video.
The new writer, Oscar Orlov, directed the concept of “mind storm” of the video clip concept. Young people shared their ideas for the creation of a video clip, participated in a discussion, and together developed a video concept for the next activities.
In total, young people visited six families IN Ozolaines parish and in each of the places interviewed a house occupant about his experience, living in neighboring people of different nationalities. In total, Latvian, Russian and Belarusian families were visited. All the people mentioned said that with the representatives of other nationalities it is very good that there are many friends and that the problems are in politics, but not in real life. Young people were taken very hospitally, and one of the houses had even been treated with hot tea and biscuits.
Thank all the families who took the young people and did not come out of the video camera. Thanks to Ingoon Sam and the Sukuji Society, who took care that the bicycle bike would be missing.
