Regarding possible illegalities in the construction board of the municipality of Rezekne

In the municipality of Rezekne, information regarding possible illegal activities in the local government building was received last week. A suspected infringement was reported to the Anti-Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau.
One of the employees of the building board, on 2 April, wrote the resignation and was released from work on the same day, while the other employee initially, until full examination of the circumstances, was suspended from performing the duties. On 7 April, the employment relationship has also been terminated with that employee. The investigation shall be conducted by the Anti-Corruption Prevention and Combating Office.
The head of the board of directors has been assigned to ensure the continuity of the work of the construction board.
