Kaunatas Secondary School Directors approved by Alīna Gendele

On 10 August, Alīna Gendele was unanimously approved by the Rēzekne District Council on Kaunatas High School Directors. When assessing education, current work experience, Kaunatas secondary school development strategy and discussion in the work interview, the Commission of Alinas Gendeles was recognised as the best of five applications submitted. At THE HIGH school of Kaunatas, the new director will begin at the end of August, immediately after receiving the agreement from the Ministry of Education and Science.

Alīna Gendele received a Master's degree in pedagogy and educational science from Daugavpils University in 2011. The new director has also completed the Latvian National Institute of Physical Culture, obtaining a diploma of physical cultural and sports teachers. “I'm from 1980 when i started working as a teacher at Ludza High School,” Alīna Gendell said. She then worked as director of the Ludza Sports School for 25 years, and from 2010 to 2017 was the Chairman of the Ludza District Council, as well as the last three years of Latgale Planning Region, as President of the Council of Development. Alīna Gendele is a member of the Ludza District Council.

“I want to continue the story of Kaunatas high school,” said the new director. “The most important task will be to create an educational institution such as to create the best conditions for pupils to feel good, to be curious and to learn, as knowledge is the key to the success of the 21 st century, while teachers must create motivation so that they can work creative, interesting to find a special approach to every child.”

As well as the work to be performed in the near future, Alīna Gendele lists the additions of the technical base, takes lessons as an optional creation and the growing development of pupils' training companies “very well that a business advisor is working at the school that allows young people to see opportunities as young entrepreneurs in their home. It would also be necessary to reconstruct the stadium over time. It would also be possible to activate the youth movement, which would be the beginning of a career for many young people before continuing training at the Border Guard college. 'The new director also acknowledged that the initiative of the municipality of Rēzekne to pay secondary schools for the acquisition of a category B driving licence, which is a large plus, is welcome, so that young people, after primary school, choose to continue directly AT Kaunatas secondary school. As regards the implementation of projects, Alīna Gendele stressed the need to use THE LEADER project and cross-border cooperation opportunities, while the Inximity of Razna National Park would allow environmental fund projects to be implemented.

The new director remembers that the first TIME AT Kaunatas in high school was in 1971, as a small girl started in her first Cross competition. Now the ways of life brought them back to Kaunas. “Power is collective, so in the coming year i want to get a coherent team between teachers, parents and children. If i'm accepted as yours and say“ you're ours! ”“ It'll be the greatest satisfaction and motivation to continue, ”Alīna Gendell said.

It is recalled that the current Kaunatas High School Director, Skaidrīte Uzulina, has decided to continue working in an educational institution that is closer to her place of residence in the municipality of Preiles.
