Signed Cooperation Agreement with Agdasha District from Azerbaijan

On July 10, during the visit to Rēzekne District Executive Ağdaş Ali Karimov and Chairman OF the Rēzekne District Council, Monvīds Švarcs signed a joint cooperation agreement between the two municipalities. It should be noted that this is the thirteenth agreement signed between Latvia and Azerbaijan, thereby promoting interregional relations and cooperation.
The Treaty provides for cooperation in a number of areas, particularly in the field of entrepreneurship, education, culture, sport and the exchange of information in youth work. “I am sure that this protocol will not be merely on paper, and the cooperation will continue between our entrepreneurs, students and young people, and cultural collections,” said Javid Osmanov, Member of the Azerbaijan Parliament elected by the Agdasha district. “I hope you'll be a frequent guest on us, and we'll be able to visit you regularly.”
Azerbaijan guests in Rēzekne municipality were also welcomed by the Chairman OF the council Monvīds Švarcs: “our local government delegations have visited Azerbaijan twice. We thank you for your hospitality and hope that this visit to Rēzekne will also be pleasant. Our cooperation took place several years ago, thanks to the Latvian local government and the Azerbaijan National Local Government Association and personally to the secretary, Tofikam Hasanov, who has contributed to this cooperation. I hope that the signing of this Treaty will only strengthen these relations. '
The visit of Javid Osmanov, Ali Karimov, as well as the President of the municipality of Agdasha, Galibs Garajevs, is represented in the visit of the agdah districts. The arrival of the delegation is coordinated by the responsible secretary of the National Association of Azerbaijan, Tofik Hasanov.
The guests admitted that the first impressions on Latvia were very pleasant: “there are besty people, beautiful nature, clean air and much green,” Javid Osmanov said. “We are glad that among the new partners, the Rēzekne municipality and the Agdasha district, there is also a lot of common: the number and area of the population, as well as the friendly, hospitable and helpful people.”
During the visit, the guests of Azerbaijan not only signed a cooperation agreement, but also met the work of the municipality of Rezekne, as well as the business and tourism opportunities in Rezekne municipality. The delegation visited several parish councils, Dricānu and Maltas in secondary school, Lūznavas manor, a watercourse development centre “lighthouse” on the coast of Luban Lake, tourist accommodation “Ezerkrasti”, as well as Jānis Kuzminska guitar manufacturing workshop IN Kaunatas parish.
