Passenger rights: travel in the European Union safely and without excitement

Projects

Many of us have to face a cancelled or delayed flight. When travelling WITHIN THE eu, be aware of your passenger rights.
In the summer holidays, when everyone goes to rest, it is appropriate to remember that EU passenger rights provide for compulsory aid or support for passengers in the event of long delay or cancellation.

The laws and regulations of the European Union in the field of passenger rights shall provide a minimum level of protection for passengers, irrespective of the mode of transport, whether it is an aeroplane, train, bus or ship.
Even the most beautiful holidays can be damaged in the travel destination. During the trip, there may be unpleasant surprises: flight delays, cancellation or loss of luggage. The European Parliament has always strongly supported passenger rights and facilitated the introduction OF rules at EU level, which requires transport companies, in the event of unforeseen circumstances, to provide passengers with meals (food and beverages) and accommodation; the rules also provide for the amount of compensation and the mechanism for receiving passengers for delays.
EU rules provide that companies will no longer be able to demand a higher price per category ticket, based on location, ticket purchase, or nationality.
Special attention is paid to THE EU framework for travellers with reduced mobility or special needs, providing the right to free travel during travel.
Rights of air passengers
If more tickets are sold on the flight; and for air passengers denied boarding, passengers may be compensated up to 600 euros depending on the distance of the flight. The maximum compensation is intended for flights below 3500 kilometres.
In cases of cancellation or long delay of voyages, passengers shall be entitled to compensation, except in cases where the airline offers an alternative solution or it is established that the delay or cancellation of the flight has occurred as a result of exceptional or unrelated circumstances: adverse weather conditions, security threats, or air traffic management decisions.
