Camp was held during spring holidays AT Kaunatas High School

The Spring holidays are spent in the Rēzekne municipality AT Kaunatas in secondary school, where the day thematic camp IN THE field OF STEM (mathematics and programming) for classes 7-9 from Kaunatas, Stoļerovas and Čornajas was organised by the association for education and innovation “lode” in collaboration with the association “hand-hand”. It took place in the FRAMEWORK OF THE ESF project “Support for the development of individual competences”.
“Why do i have to learn?” On this and other issues, young people were looking for answers on the first day of the camp, going together on a trip to z/s “autumn foal hills”, where they met the importance of mathematics, programming and other knowledge in the field of agriculture and tourism. Young people had the opportunity to feed animals, and it provided false emotions!
On the second day, the participants of the camp conducted a study on the professions of interest to themselves, while the next day activities for young people were related to the development of projects. This facilitated the understanding of time and financial resources planning, analytical thinking.
On the fourth day of the camp, young people went into a study excursion to Rēzekne companies to explore the various areas in which they were told and shown, as well as practical tasks to increase awareness of the importance of education in human life. Young people were welcome to the building shop FOR XENUKAI, where the store manager Arthur Apeinen offered to perform practical, live-in tasks. They were successful in earning gift cards worth 20, 15 and 5 euros. The winners were pleased with the accomplishment! The participants of THE “Rezekne Water” camp were introduced to the water supply processes of the city, starting from the acquisition of water to the user. The excursions received Rēzekne water bottles. Guys showed special interest in the company. The narrative raised awareness of how mathematics, physics, chemistry and programming interact in enterprise processes. In order to familiarise the industry, the participants of the camp went to SIA “LEAX Rezekne”, which shows and talks about the process of production in metalworking, regarding the importance of education in performing production processes.
On the fifth day of the year, young people had the opportunity to participate in the pancake-baking masterclass, which was provided by SIA “TOP conchas” (Juris baltalis). The pupils could have cept themselves, perform and taste pancakes. The camp members were delighted about their performance.
In parallel to these activities, young people developed their knowledge, skills and skills in the field of programming.
