“Spring carnival” in Rogovka

The Rogovka youth centre has been organising the “spring carnival” competition for the fourth consecutive year. The event took place IN Nautrēnu parish cultural house on 5 May. Other youth centres of Rezekne were also invited to the orientation competition. This year there were Bērzgales, Dricānu, Gaigalavas, Vērēmu, Mākoņkalna and Griškānu parish young people.
The evening was started in athletic spirits, with an orientation race along Rogovka. The team of young people in the six-man team went through Rogovka, where they had to perform a variety of ingenious and sporting tasks at each of the cheques. The fastest and most accurate was THE Bērzgales youth team, who won the first place, the second was THE Vērēmu team, the third – Mākoņkalna team. The prize winners were awarded with diplomas and gifts, while the other teams received thanks for participation and promotion prizes.
The evening continued with fun dances, different games and amusement. As every year, the king of the evening and the Queen, who became young people from Dricānu parish, were also coroned this year. To become such they had to perform a variety of interesting and active tasks.
