Accessible education-business contact points services in Rezekne municipality

As part of the Rēzekne municipality's implementation OF the ERDF project “Rēzekne Municipal High School Infrastructure Development” at the end of 2015, the establishment of educational-business contact points (IUK) offices and pupils' training - production facilities in four secondary schools – Maltas, Kaunatas, Nautrēnu and Dricānu in secondary schools was completed. As a consequence, since 25 April 2016, THE newly established four educational-business contact points in Rezekne municipality have already launched THE provision of IUK services provided by local government business specialists - Guntis Khalis and Sanita Zunda.
According TO IUK functions and operational structure, IUK specialists will work in two directions. Firstly, it will work with students of educational institutions and, secondly, work with existing and emerging entrepreneurs, their organisations and associations. For students, IUK advisors will offer a variety of career education activities, involvement in the phasing-out of pupils' learning-production companies, organizing activities of entrepreneurs “shading”, etc., creating an in-depth understanding of young people about the real business environment and the opportunities of personal careers in the native municipality. While local rural entrepreneurs and active people who want to start their business, IUK advisors will soon be consulted on business start-up and development issues, fundraising and cooperation issues.
IUK advisors will provide advice to the entire population of Rezekne and will work in close cooperation with county administrations, secondary school teachers, local government development planning department and other local business support institutions.
Specialists in each IUK are employed on a half-time basis, their time schedule varies every week within a calendar month, so customers have to submit their visit to the customer in advance.
