Funding of the European Social Fund for the organisation of the working environment of enterprises

The State Labour Inspectorate (SLI) invites micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (with a number of employees up to 50) to submit applications for the receipt of aid, which is intended to improve the safety and health of employees and the organisation of the working environment of enterprises in conformity with the requirements of labour protection and labour law.
Latvian entrepreneurs can apply for aid and organise the working environment in their company in accordance with regulatory enactments regulating labour protection. The support will be provided by the VDI associate specialists: competent authorities, competent specialists, accredited laboratory and educational institution.
The support is provided in the framework of the European Social Fund (ESF) project “Improving the practical implementation and supervision of labour safety laws and regulations” Nr. 7.3.1.0/16/I/001, which provides for enterprises to receive an assessment of the risks of the work environment, the drawing up of a plan of labour protection measure, recommendations regarding the establishment of a labour protection structure, training labour protection specialists and trusted persons. In accordance with the instructions of the expert, the performance of laboratory measurements will also be ensured within the framework of the aid. By 31 December 2022, the aid will be granted to 4700 undertakings.
Undertakings which perform one of the Cabinet Regulation No. 99 of 8 February 2005 “regulations regarding the types of commercial activities in which the employer participates in the forms of commercial activities specified in Annex 1 of the General Economic Activities” in accordance WITH the classification OF general economic activity IN NACE may apply for aid.

The application may be submitted by a secure electronic signature by e-mail to THE info.esf@vdi.gov.lv by post or by personal submission OF THE SLI TO THE ESF project records, Kr. Valdemara Street 17-17, Riga, LV-1010, working days from 08:00 to 17:00 and Fridays from 08:00 to 14:30.
