Apply for training “formula — 2: International project idea marathon”

From 11 to 13 December, international training will be held in Latvia and Estonia, who are interested in working with young people who want to learn more about youth projects, as well as who are willing to implement their youth exchange projects. The application for training shall be possible by 23 November.

Have you ever thought that you could implement international projects yourself? Maybe you have an excellent project idea and friends who support this idea, but don't know which part to start and ask for advice. This is a great opportunity to participate in international training “formula - 2: International Marathon of project ideas” (“formula - 2: International Marathon of Project Ideas”).
Why is training?

“Formula - 2: International project idea marathon” is an international training course for young entrants of Erasmus +: Youth in Action – people who want to start writing and implementing youth exchange projects.
These training is organised for Latvian and Estonian youth workers, youth leaders, project leaders and young people (15 to 30 years of age) who are motivated to implement their projects and want to learn more about youth exchange projects.

What are the objectives of the training?

- to inform the Erasmus +: Youth in Action projects;
- to inform the structure and content of Erasmus +: Youth in Action projects;
- motivate and support participants in their project ideas so that the idea can be implemented in the project;
- information on non-formal education and work in groups;
- promote effective cooperation in international projects.

The main focus of training will be on youth exchange projects that can be submitted online at the next deadline for project applications – 2 February 2016. By participating in these training, it will be possible to find project co-operation partners, to develop their own idea and to co-write the project together.

NB! This training course is organised by Estonian and Latvian national agencies. The added value of the training course is the fact that the environment and social context of the youth field are similar in Latvia and Estonia, so it is easier to ensure a safe learning environment as well as to promote mutual communication between participants. In addition, in group work, any training participant will have the opportunity to strengthen the knowledge of its foreign language.

Profile of participants?

- participants must be from Latvia or Estonia and participants should be willing to implement youth projects;
- when applying for training in groups, their size is three people: 1 group leader (18 +) and 2 participants (15 – 30 years of age). The leader of the group may be a youth worker, a teacher, a leader … a person willing to work with the members of the group and support them in the process of drafting and implementing the project. The leader of the group has a desirable (but not mandatory) experience with Erasmus +: Youth in Action projects (it may also not be the experience of the project applicant).

After training, a support measure will take place in each country (scheduled time – 8 January 2016).

A total of 30 participants from Latvia and Estonia will participate in the training course.

Training is recommended: youth workers, youth leaders, project leaders, young people (15 – 30 years of age).

In order to ensure the visibility of Erasmus +, as well as to include as many young people as possible in programme activities, the participants must undertake:

1. co-ordinators with project coordinators discuss the results of the event and schedule their distribution activities;
2. to provide at least one publication in media;
3. to organise a dissemination activity within six weeks of return, including at least one meeting with the interested target group (at least 15 persons).

It is also necessary to remember the submission of reports and covered cost attestations.
All costs (training, living and catering) will be covered by the Erasmus + funding. Travel expenses should be borne by themselves.
