The historic novel “White Fathers” by the writer Anton Rupains came out in Rēzekne at the publishing house of Latgale Culture Centre. The work of the novel will deal with medieval Latgale, revealing the formation of the dominican monastery and the church, the present Aglona Basilica. It is the first edition of this ambitious prose work in Latvia in a separate book and a trail for the centuries of Latgale Congress.
“White Fathers” Anton Rupainis wrote before the Second World War. It was first published in 1937 in the newspaper “rest” and earned a large number of readers. In 1943 – 1944, the novel was prepared for extradition in a separate book in the Latvian language of Vladislava in Daugavpils, however, in autumn 1944, the publishing company left Latvia. As a literature scientist Ilona Salcevich (LV 13.08.2004), Rupainis's work on the novel is completely new. The novel came out in 1963 and 1964 in Minneapolis (USA) in Latvian literary language, very much different from the first variant. Now the “white fathers” novel is finally released in Latvia in one big, 462-page book.
The re-issue was issued thanks to the permanent founder of Latgale Culture Centre (LCC) publisher and manager Janis Elksnim and his team, as well as Anton Rupaiņa's son, Jānis Rupainis, who lived IN THE U.S. Denver (died 17 May 2016) and his spouse Betty Rupainei, also Peter Ragausham, who comes from the family of Androiva Jurmala, who is living in Houston, is the Director of the Baltic – American Fund.

The edition of the trilogy “Mar Most” was issued as a veltījums for the 110 th birthday of the writer, which was marked in September 2016. The book's postname was written by poet and literature scientist Pauline Zalane – Wallenn.
The writer Anton Rupainis was born in 1906 IN Bērzgales (now Lendžu) parish. During the first Latvian holiday, he worked as a teacher, a Cordirigent, a director.
