International organizations' 'ONE'' Youth Ambassador in Belgium Uldis Šalajevs has announced a Latvian-wide essay competition 'Future of Latvia … Europe 'for young people. All young people are invited to participate in the essay competition - regardless of where they are currently studying, working, living - both in Latvia and outside. The jury of the best essays will provide diplomas and valuable prizes.
Young people up to 35 years of age are invited to write and submit by this year 30 November a reasoned essay - in which between 3000 and 5000 words - about the role of Latvia and how it will be developed in the new European Union (EU) national family by 2030, taking into account the withdrawal of Britain from 28 countries in 2019. The author of the essay, briefly describing the problems in Latvia in the context of the European Union, should, at its discretion, offer concrete proposals to address these problems, taking account of: In the White Paper on the Future of Europe sketches of proposed scenarios. The essay must be the author's own original work and must not be previously published.
President of the European Commission. K.Juncker, speaking to Members of the European Parliament in Strasbourg S.g. 13 September stated that ''I wanted to launch a process in which European citizens themselves define their own way and their future. '' The President of the Commission Juncker stressed that ''those who wish to build the future of our continent should be well understood and respected by our shared history. It also includes these four [Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania]: Europe without them would be a single whole. "and '' We must prepare tomorrow for tomorrow's [European] Union. '
During the period from this year Evaluation of the essay submitted on 1 December to 31 January 2018 Andrejs Pildegovičs, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia; Ilze Juhansson, Deputy Secretary-General of the European Commission;Irina Pilvere, rector of Latvian Agricultural University; Zita Lunde, portal TVNET main editor; and project ''Future of Latvia … Europe idea author and its manager, '' ONE '' youth ambassador in Belgium and mecenate Uldis Šalajevs.
The aim of the essay competition is to promote the active involvement of Latvian society, especially young people, in planning Latvia's development in the context of future EU development by 2030.
On the basis of the Commission's decision, the authors of the best works will be invited to the final and award ceremony on 16 February 2018 (time and place will be specified later). Project ''Future of Latvia … Europe the author of the idea and its manager Uldis Šalajevs will provide the best essay for the authors' diplomas and money prizes: I. for the winner/- ai - €500; II. for the winner/- ai - €300 and III. for the winner/- ai - €100 (2 persons). The awards of valuable surprise are also awaiting other authors of the essay and 50 participants in the competition will receive a thank-you article for participation in the competition. The Prize Foundation is mainly a target donation of individual jury members from their private resources.
By 9 February 2018, the results of the competition will be announced and ideas from the best essays will be submitted to national policy planners, published on website ''European Youth Ports' '(http://ej.uz/grz5) and online social web https://www.fb.com/LatvijasNakotneEiropahttps://twitter.com/LVNakotneEiropa and https://www.draugiem.lv/user/2937809/blogas well as other supporters' websites and media.
Uldis Šalajevs (34) is a vividian from Madona and since January 2012 is also a permanent new mecenate, who has financially supported 10 talented students in new engineering studies. Since March 2016, in his spare time, the young man meets international organisations' 'THE ONE '' Youth Ambassador in Belgium duties. Since 2009, U.
