Project tender “Support for start-up and development of entrepreneurship in Rezekne municipality” submitted 26 project applications in 2018

This year, 26 business ideas have been applied for “Rural Economic Development in Rēzekne District” (LEARN). The highest demand for funding is in the tourism and food industry. Similarly, the existing and emerging entrepreneurs in areas such as auto repair, photography, stitching and design, music, sports, piracy, logging, wood fission, retail trade, craftsmanship and handwriting.
The total funding for the “LEARN” foundation is EUR 69 085,92, although the actual amount of money that can be allocated to business aid within the framework of this annual project is EUR 28 000,00.
The territorial coverage of the projects applied for covers 14 parishes of Rezekne municipality, as well as one project is submitted for implementation in the city of Rezekne (retail sector). Four projects have been received from Berzgales and Kaunata parish, with two projects representing the parish of Gaigalava, Griškanan, Verham and Maltese, while one application was started by the parish of Dricana, Feimane, Lendes, Luznava, Ozolaine, Sakstagala, Stalerova and Strujans.
The projects submitted will be examined by the end of September.
