On 6 March of that year, the Ministry of Economics will organise thematic seminars in Rezekne on the basic conditions for the maintenance of the building after its renewal, the advice for further improvement of energy efficiency and the more frequent errors in the construction process of buildings.
“In ten years in Latvia, by attracting funds from European Union funds, almost 900 residential buildings have been restored, the state and local government institutions have restored a number of public buildings, thereby ensuring the energy savings and hence the savings of financial resources,” emphasizes Edmunds Valanis, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics. “At the same time, it is important to ensure the sustainability of buildings and further increase in energy efficiency after its renewal, so that the best recommendations will be shared with building owners. On the other hand, we would like to emphasise that both the preparation of technical design and procurement documents and the construction process are important in any construction and building project. continues E.Valantis.
Two seminars will be held in Rēzekne - apartment owners and housekeepers of apartment buildings are invited to seminar “building life after renewal”, while representatives of the construction industry are invited to seminar “major errors and recommendations for restoration of buildings”.
The workshop “building life after restoration” for apartment owners and housekeepers of multi-apartment buildings is organised with the aim of providing recommendations for the quality of the building after its renewal so that it has a favourable and convenient environment for the population and serves as much as possible.
In the course of the seminar, we will inform about the facades (afforestation and ventilation) and window care, ventilation and micro-climate in the building, reminder of the duties and rights of owners of apartment owners and house managers, as well as the necessary co-operation in the maintenance of the building, let us know about the distribution of thermal energy charges and the possibilities offered by them, as well as provide advice on how to become more energy-efficient and how to correctly apply fire safety regulations to multi-storey multi-apartment residential buildings.
The event will include experts from the Ministry of Economics, the State Fire-Fire and Rescue Service, the Latvian House Managers and Operators Association, the Construction Materials Association, as well as the Latvian window and door producer association.
The seminar “major errors and recommendations for building renovation” shall be organised by the construction merchants to emphasize that jthe preparation of both the technical project and the procurement documentation and the construction process are important in the ebwhere construction and renovation project..
The workshop will be informed of the frequent errors in mounting and ventilating facades, the requirements for building materials, construction and quality control and the acceptance of the building in service, reminding the role of project management in the performance of the construction contract and the essential aspects of the procurement contract, making recommendations for the improvement of the energy efficiency of the built-in (planned) building. In addition, we will tell you what the current problems are in construction and operation of buildings in buildings – how to organize the historical heritage and ensure the exploitation of sustainable buildings of buildings in the future.
The event will include representatives of the Ministry of Economics, the Development Finance Institution Altum, the Procurement Monitoring Bureau, the Construction State Control Bureau, the Consumer Rights Protection Centre, the Construction Materials Association, the Latvian Window and door producer association and the Latvian Silk Enterprises Association.
