Rēzekne District Policemen receive thanks

On 5 December, a formal meeting on the 98 th anniversary of the establishment of the State Police was held at the National Police Latgale Region Administration in Rēzekne district. In festivals, police officers had the opportunity to look at and evaluate the work, as well as to receive gratitude articles, awards of the Ministry of the Interior and honorary articles.

“Public security is one of the core tasks of the country, so that every policeman's daily work is at the highest level of national importance. Professional and self-confident policemen contribute to the confidence of each citizen in the country, as only a secure society is able to develop and look at the future,“ by speaking to policemen and guests, ”said the head of the State Police Rēzekne District, Lieutenant Lieutenant Gunārs Selkevics.“ I wish the honour to serve Latvia and take his mission in a deep heart so that the policemen have a strong support that helps our citizens feel safe and secure. ”

As Gunārs Kokevics said, the absence of frames in the Rēzekne district is almost eliminated: “in two years we have increased the number of employees by six people, and three additional policemen have been requested. It is delighted that new, ambitious, educated and advanced policemen have started to work on us. '

At the time of the festival on cooperation and support for the implementation of State police tasks, the chief of the Rēzekne District, the head of the Rēzekne District, thanked the co-operation partners: the municipality of Rezekne, the municipality of Rezekne and Viļānu, the Rēzekne court, the Rēzekne Prosecutor's Office, the State Border Guard College, the State Fire-Fire and Rescue Service, the State Probation Service Rēzekne Unit, the State Border Guard Aviation Administration and the National Guard. On the other hand, the municipalities gave their thanks to the police.

The Vice-President of the Rēzekne council, Elman Pizane, thanked the policemen for their cooperation as well as wished for courage and strength: “so that there is always silence and peace on the streets so that more can be devoted to preventive and educational purposes.” For eight police officers of the Rēzekne District, Elman Pizane gave the Rēzekne council the gratitude of the local government for the exemplary service, high professionalism and the 98 th anniversary of the Latvian State Police.
