In the municipality of Rezekne, the border guards were discovered

On Friday, September 6, the Rēzekne municipality, in THE parish OF Griškānu on the street passing through the village of Janaples and leading to the training of the State Border Guard at the landfill site, gathered several dozens of border guards and guests to observe the opening of border guards in the face of the border.
The formal event took place within the framework of the centenary of the State Border Guard and was intended as the end of the centuries of the State Border Guard.
The first part of the event marked the participants of the 100-anniversary of the State Border Guard, who, over three days, were more than two hundred kilometres, from Vilnius, to THE village of Griškānu parish Janaples to promote sporting and healthy lifestyles, including by organising informative events in Vilaka State Gymnasium, Baltinava High School, the City of Ludza City, and Kaunatas in secondary school, in order to invite and inform students regarding educational opportunities at the State Border Guard College. The athletic spirit and strength of the towel participants were praised.
The event continued with a particularly important and unprecedented event, both in the history of the State Border Guard and in the history of Latvia, was opened to border guards on their own street – border guards street.
In view of the fact that the State Border Guard is the first line of national security, whose 100 years history is rich with events, celebrating its centuries, as well as highlighting the municipality of Rezekne as a border municipality, on 18 April 2019, the municipality of Rēzekne decided that the street, passing through THE village of Griškānu parish Janaples and taken to the national border guard at the landfill site, should be given the name – border guards street.
In the event, the chief of the State Border Guard, General Guntis Puyts and the Chairman OF the Rēzekne District Council, Monvīds Švarcs, were said, while the newly discovered border guards street in Rezekne - Aglona dienosis bishop Janis Boaris.
