Rēzekne District Society “Centre for Eastern Latvian Creative Initiatives” is spent on projects rich in summer

27.09.2016

For young people

The period from 1 May to 15 September 2016 is a very active period of work for the Rēzekne municipality, the “Centre for the Creative Initiatives of Eastern Latvia” - in the spring 220 hostile trees, 80 birches and 60 pine trees have been planted. For less than five months, the most diverse leisure and knowledge-based activities are offered to young people.
During four excursions, project participants met Latgale history, visited three biological and farm farms, their talents developed in creative workshops. Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, young people in the summer had the opportunity to visit the training of the National Guard of Daugavpils at the base of the base “forest Mackevics”, observe how the professional national guardsmen, familiarise themselves with their daily regime and activities, with daily duties based on discipline, responsibility, ability to overcome all kinds of difficulties, skills to work in the team. There was a chance to enjoy a national guardsman in the kitchen kitchen for lunch, and walk through the forest in a special military truck. Special exciting lessons were offered to us by the Silene adventure park in Daugavpils. The three-stage alpine route was a real test of strength, luck, and excellent training. Travelling at a height of several meters, overcoming serious obstacles, requires sufficient courage and physical preparedness. On the win teams, young people struggled to compete in competition, volleyball and football matches, one of which was awarded prizes. Unforgettable emotions made a journey through the Razna Lake. We met Luban Lake, participated in an art day event organised by the Water Tourism Centre, visited European international dolls exhibition in Preilos. A lot of sporting, dancing, studying Latgale history, painting. The season was closed by warm sunshine on Saturday of September, travelling along the Rēzekne river with canoe boats.
The projects included young people from Feimaņu, Maltas, Sakstagala, Audriņu, Kaunatas, Mākoņkalna and Vērēmu parish. As of September 30, the Rēzekne municipality council in the 1 st floor lobby will see an exhibition of the works planned during the projects. The seven cities of Rezekne and the municipality of Latvia, through the State Employment Agency (SEA), had the opportunity to acquire a variety of work skills IN THE ESF project support measure “the acquisition of skills necessary for work in the non-governmental sector”.
