On the day of the Rēzekne municipality, there will be traffic restrictions on the territory of Anchupan Valley
On July 18, a traditional day of Rezekne will take place in the valley of Anchupans. From 12.00 on the day, the events of the event are subject to an exciting and familiarised festival of family, awareness and sporting activities. This year, along with Rezekne Municipality Day, a concert of the international folklore festival “Baltica”, which will gather thousands of folklorists from the edge of Latvia, as well as from several foreign countries, will fall in the Valley of Anchupan.
A total of up to 15 thousand people are expected to attend festival events. In order to ensure the security of the events of the event, the period from 18 July at 9.00 to 19 July 9.00 motorway P36 “Rēzekne-Gulbene” from the border of Rezekne to the intersection with highway A12 “Jçkabpils-Rēzekne-Ludza-Russian border (Terehova)” will only allow one-way movement towards Rezekne. Maximum speed permitted at this stage of road – 30 km/h. Changes in the traffic organisation are necessary because the parking area and the location of the events are not on the same side of the road, and a motorway part will also be used for the coach of the folklore festival “Baltica”. It should be noted that entering and leaving SIA “Dinaz” service station and/from the Anchupan Memorandum does not change. Yellow temporary border signs will be placed on drivers' convenience, which will help to drive the Anchupan valley area.
