Rezekne leads young people to participate in the project “namely and do”

The municipality of Rezekne, in cooperation with the youth international programme agency, implements the European Social Fund project “NAMELY and DARI!”, the specific support objective of the programme “Growth and Employment” 8.3.3. “to develop the skills of the NON-registered young people of SEA and to promote their involvement in education, the activities of THE SEA within the framework of the youth guarantee and the activities of non-governmental organisations or youth centres”.

The objective of the project is to motivate and activate young people who do not receive, work or receive trade and are not registered in the State Agency of Employment (SEA) as unemployed persons. The aim of the project is also to promote the involvement of these young people in education, including vocational training, youth guarantee measures implemented BY THE SEA and the National Education Development Agency, and the activities of non-governmental organisations or youth centres.

In implementing the project, it is planned to provide support for young people aged 15-29 who do not receive, work or receive trade and are not registered in the State Agency for Employment (SEA) as unemployed.

The municipality and their strategic partners will carry out the following activities in the project:

  • Awareness-raising activities of the target group and awareness-raising activities involving local government strategic partners;
  • The profiling of the target group and the development of individual action programmes;
  • Motivating, activating and supporting the target group youth in accordance with the target group's individual activities programme developed on the basis of profiling results in order to promote the involvement of these young people in education, including vocational training at masters, THE activities of THE SEA within the framework of the youth guarantee, non-governmental organisations or youth centres.

Local government strategic partners may be youth organisations, social service, professional associations, educational institutions, craftsmen, entrepreneurs and others.

In cooperation with each young person, by identifying young people's skills, interests and acquired education, as well as defining the directions of development, a programme of individual measures for the development of personality and involvement in society and work life will be developed. Individual work with young people from project funds will be provided over a period of up to 9 months, including:

  • regular individual mentor support (at least 20 hours per month);
  • non-formal and informal learning activities;
  • specialist advice;
  • participation in events (camps, seminars, sports activities, cultural events);
  • volunteering activities, involvement in activities, events and projects of non-governmental organisations and youth centres;
  • excursions to companies or temporary practice in a company (to familiarise themselves with the occupation of the profession of activity in order to choose a professional qualification or to acquire an occupational job at a master);
  • involvement in local public activities etc.

The implementation time of the project activities is planned until 31 October 2018.
