Rēzekne municipality will actively participate in health week events

The Latvian Health Week or Move Week will be held throughout Europe from 23 May to 29 May, when citizens will be encouraged to participate in various healthy physical activities. Latvia participates in this campaign for the fifth year and the number of participants with each year. The aim of the project is to promote healthy lifestyles and to involve as many people as possible in physical activity. A variety of free events and activities throughout Latvia will take place during the health week, where all citizens are invited, regardless of age, sex and sporting preparedness. The organisers of events (local governments, non-governmental organisations, schools, sports clubs, companies) will offer physical activity to residents throughout the week, such as running, hosting, hiking, cycling, lecture with jumper. In the “Move Week” campaign from Rezekne, the municipality will take part and perform nine youth centres in rural areas, whose event programmes can be viewed in the annexes.
