For young people

In the period from 6 to 11 April, the Rēzekne municipality had the opportunity to visit Hungary, within the framework of THE DYPALL project “Youth Democracy Academy”, where during the week the pupils were informed and trained on the forthcoming elections to the European Parliament, which will take place in Latvia on 25 May.
The information and materials obtained in the project will enable students to share their knowledge in their secondary schools by organising events which will be aimed at encouraging their class members and other voters to go to their nearest polling stations and express their opinion by voting on the selected candidate.
The young people themselves are told about this experience of exchange of experience:
Anjelo Fernandes said: “In the context of this project, young people had the opportunity to develop their knowledge of Europe as well as the elections to the European Parliament. Young people also had the opportunity to share their views and views on what is happening in Europe and to recognise the importance of encouraging other young people to go to the European Parliament elections of that year, which will take place on 25 May.”
Dita Dembovsky: “This project helped me improve, get a broader picture of people, cultures and countries. Establish new contacts with peers from abroad. After this project, i had felt a change, because the whole week in a very strange country, with foreign people and foreign language, made me feel more confident about myself, dared and risk, and how to be able to understand the situations in life. I therefore recommend that anyone use this opportunity because it provides enormous experience, emotions and a broader perspective in life.”
Victoria Adijan: “Erasmus +" exchange trip to Hungary was a great way to improve the knowledge and communication skills of its English language. I learned a lot about the European Union and the European Parliament elections. The lessons were not only educational but also interesting and fun. I am surprised at the various participants in the project that i had a chance to know. It was very pleasant to find interesting facts about the culture of other Member States. It was an unforgettable journey for me, after which i still had a lot of positive effects. I think that such journeys are exactly what is necessary for young people to practise skills acquired at school and expand their vision of Europe and the processes in place. '
