For young people

On June 15, with crazy and profound guests in the parish of Rezekne, THE parish of Bērzgales, not only the summer sun and the warmth, but also in the fun atmosphere and the bush, have been accompanied by a youth day of the seventh Rēzekne.
This year, AT Bērzgales parish, everything swirled and whirled about and around the main theme of the youth day: “Biergeal man”, where a record number of teams participated in mixed team sports games, 17 teams!
The team consisted of young people from 14 Rēzekne novada parish, representing Gaigalavas, Sakstagala, Ilzeskalna, Feimaņu, Maltas, Kaunatas, Pušas, Nautrēnu, Bērzgales, Silmalas, Mākoņkalna, Lendžu, Dricānu and Ozolaines parish.
The sports games were composed of 11 guests: Kadakubol, Bierggola, Burbulompings, Vacaps, Azarsyuklis, Sinclair, RukTurKrans, Styngri through azimuth, Bierggold, Greidsl and meetings - disciplines examining the capacity, strength and ingenuity of newly created teams.
The most enthusiastic and most sporting Rēzekne-led youth daily title “Bierggola men” was won by the youth team “stars”, leaving behind the team “wolves” and “Pepsi”.
The teams, as well as supporters, were able to examine their accuracy and excitement in four individual disciplines: shooting gallery (shooting of shots), vuortball (florball punishment), focal spots (shooting with pneumatic rifle) and springs (jumping over a barrier).
The best results in these individual disciplines showed:

  • Rifle (Aivars Zusans and Lauma Lejina)
  • Focal Focus (Daniels Puyts and Arta Pekša)
  • Vuortball (Oļegs Trulis and Darja Tihomirova)
  • Spring (Modris Vasilevsky and Evija Laizāne)

In parallel to the ongoing hurricane disciplines, young people were also active in the facial painting workshop and the acquisition of the petanka. Both of these activities were led by volunteers from France and Italy. The drawings on the face were supplemented by henna tattoos on their hands in the workshops of the henna tattoo.
In order to keep a youth day for young people in memory of the Seventh Rēzekne, the leader of the creative workshop, Mernaku, created the original “Bierggola wilddog” photo wall, where a large number of young people also gathered together, forming smiling team pictures and selfijus.
At the end of the youth day, a quasi-drinking competition was traditionally held, where the “Quoysters” were found, as well as the eating competition, where young people chewed the full plates of the pies, identifying “Peirdral parlours”.
