The Rēzekne municipality gives the young people the pleasure of seniors in Christmas

During the period from 20 to 23 December, the Rēzekne District was carried out by a charity of the Rēzekne division of Latvia, with the aim of visiting and greeting the lonely seniors of Rezekne, giving them the warmth of heart, gifts and Christmas greeting cards, which were designed by the young people of the Latvian red cross Rēzekne.
In total, more than 260 seniors were visited in this charity, as well as a multinational family. Following the promotion of the Rēzekne municipality, youth workers and young people shared their experience:

Overall, it is a pleasure that there was a chance to bring the pleasure at home to the lonely seniors who, even at the age of 80, smile, joke and enjoy their lives, and here is an example of 84-year-old seniors, the older, the worse.

On this day, i got a lot of positive emotions. We gave them (seniors), in fact, little and little gifts, but their joy was unreproducible! They were more than simply grateful. They all wished us more than we did. After such charity, they want to do more of a good job.

Our young people and seniors (charity) liked it, we had dressed like gypsies, sang songs, talked to the elders, they even cried out of joy. Young people sang all the way and played musical instruments – a very positive and emotion full day!
