The Rēzekne municipality in the youth forum talks about the current affairs of youth

On the afternoon of 29 September, AT Lendžu parish cultural house on the Seventh Rēzekne municipality, the youth forum gathered a large number of youth, youth and youth workers from Dricānu, Feimaņu, Vērēmu, Stoļerovas, Kaunatas, Maltas, Silmalas, Bērzgales, Nautrēnu, Lendžu, Ozolaines, Ilzeskalna and Sakstagala parish.
The participants of the Youth Forum had the opportunity not only to obtain information regarding the achievements of the youth field of Rezekne in 2017, the work performed and the non-work in the youth field, subsequent plans for 2018, but also had the opportunity to meet and find out who motivated the operation and not to leave the forum “charges” - the new entrepreneurs, Edgars Proveju (owner of the company “barge”), Sanita Zundu (owner of the company “smoke”), the owner of Valteru Murana (owner of the “Auscara“ Auscaris kebabs ”), the Rēzekne municipality council member Gunti Rasim, the famous light athlete Gunta Latishevu, THE famous light athlete Gunar Latishevu, head of the Rēzekne municipality, the famous lightweight Gunar Latishevu, the head of the Rēzekne District, Rēzekne District, Rēzekne District, Rēzekne District, Rēzekne District, Rēzekne District, Rēzekne District, Rēzekne District, Rēzekne municipality.
Together with the youth forum “charges”, young people also had opportunities to employ ideas and express their thoughts in groups about work with young people in Rēzekne, in five different areas.
As regards youth volunteering, summer work, employment and business opportunities in Rezekne municipality, young people have made proposals that more information on volunteering opportunities is needed, telling how volunteering experience will be useful in the future.
There was a suggestion to call on farms to recruit volunteers, to expand the possibilities of volunteering, to organise shadows in rural parish administrations, to assess volunteering with the mark of a school subject, or to create a “volunteering” study subject.
In the working group “motivating support system” for young people, or how to motivate young people to live and operate in Rezekne municipality, the main proposals were to organize business camps, meet entrepreneurs, create new jobs.
The Rēzekne municipality – as an interesting tourist destination, according to young people – most needs a modern trade centre, extremist entertainment sites, a panorama wheel, a huge, unique environmental object, amusement/entertainment park, ski/snowbore traces with tramplines, as well as sports trainers.
On the other hand, as regards what should be improved so that the municipality of Rezekne is more friendly and more interesting to young people than so far, there was a proposal that parish administrations should have more open negotiations, meet young people, listen to their initiatives, improve the dialogue between parish centres and schools, take more activity in winter.
The main recommendations of the participation of young people in the decision-making of the Rēzekne municipality and in the public process were to provide more information on the possibilities of volunteering, to support projects of initiatives, to provide more information on the ongoing and upcoming measures.
