Rēzekne Municipality team “Mōseņis” — Women's Basketball League Championship

In October last year, the Northwest Women's Basketball League began, with the women's basketball team “Mōseņis” taking part in the second year. The competitions took place in the form of crossings, which included the following teams: BK Alūksne, BK Salacgriva, Cēsis, Cēsis juniores, Limbaži, Smiltene/New Piebalgs, AAV/Smiltene and Rēzekne municipality “Mōseņis”. In the previous season, in a competition of 12 teams, the Rēzekne District team won 4 th place, while on May 11 in Cēsis, this season was finished as champions.
In the final, the Championship BK Salacgriva and Rēzekne lead team “Mōseņis”. The final expanded rather intense, as none of the teams wanted to step up. All the time of the game was “Mōseņis”, and for a few moments, Salacgriva's team approached so close that the result was unseparated after two of the three games they had played. However, Rēzekne's basketball club found the strength and increased the result of the result, but even until the end of the game, it was not clear.
