The municipality of Rezekne has implemented the project “Monitoring and protection of fish resources in Luban wetlands”

At the Council meeting of 24 April 2015 (Protocol No 164), the project “Monitoring and protection of fish resources in the Luban Wetlands” was supported by a total amount OF EUR 10 990.00 (the funding of the fish fund EUR 8132,00 and the municipal co-financing OF EUR 2858,00 respectively).
As a result of the project, a snow motorcycle was purchased to ensure the monitoring and protection of fish resources in Luban wetlands in water bodies and watercourses.
The implementation of the project will contribute to the conservation and protection of fish resources in the Luban wetlands, as regular surveys of water bodies and watercourses during the winter period will be ensured, thus reducing the number of violations of fishing and fishing regulations.
