Rezekne Municipality runs a year with the dedication of Latvia to the centenary of Latvia

On 1 January, a running marathon organised by the Magnen sports club took place in the Rēzekne municipality, in which every runner could give his dedication to Latvia's centuries, running a certain distance. The purpose of the run was to run at least 100 kilometres, starting from various parish parishes - Dricāniem, Verems, Maltas, Ilzeskalna. 26 runners took part in the run and 335 km were completed. Edgars Kļaviņš, head of the “Magnen” sports club, says: “we ran through all the roads of Rezekne, leading to the city of Rezekne. The largest route was 24 km, less than 5 km, but all together we ran a very dignified distance and it is our dedication to Latvia's anniversary. '
All runners met in Rēzekne at the festival park at the festival tree where the results were collected.
The year spent in sports club '' Magnen 'has been active - runners participated in several runners in Latvian cities and abroad, performing several dozen kilometres long distances. Some have performed at a time of more than 100 km, some of which have spent 24 hours in the competition.
