Rezekne municipality specialists will go to “eating” Norwegian counterparts

On April 11, special education and social workers from Rezekne municipality will go to the Norwegian co-operation municipalities Arendal and aust Agders to “eat” the work of their specialists for a week, to learn new methods and to draw ideas for further work.
“Building” is the head of the “Malta” of the National Centre for Health and Social Care (VSAC) “Malta”, March Hahelis, Audriņu parish social worker Natalia Bernane and head of the “social service” of the municipality of Rezekne, Gunārs Arbidans. In turn, an innovative approach to working with children with behavioural disorders will be given BY Anita Klismete, Deputy Director of the Kaunatas High School, Deputy Director of the Adamowa Special Inboarding School, Natalia Mikhailova.
It is intended that the “shadows” will be familiar with the daily life of Norwegian social workers, in the care of the elderly and incapacitated people at their home, to visit the care centre of the elderly people of Ferwick, where they will experience the experience of adapting the premises and the environment to facilitate the everyday lives of people with disabilities, as well as going to the Asdal Rehabilitation Centre for children with special needs and the Sam Eide secondary school, where a curriculum for children with special needs is implemented to help them start their own life and find work.
It should be noted that the municipality of Rezekne has a successful collaboration with Arendal and aust Agderes municipalities for over 20 years. During this time, the schools and social institutions of Rezekne have received material and financial support, leading collectively in various cultural events in Norway, numerous exchanges of experience involving pupils, medical, social and educational staff.
By continuing cooperation, on 23 and 24 April, shortly after the Rēzekne municipality has returned from “shading” in Norway, the Rēzekne municipality will visit Arendal and aust Agderes politicians to discuss new directions of cooperation between municipalities.
