This year, for the first time, the daudzpusīgās events of Rezekne Municipality were supplemented with another exciting and speculative activity - the pup crawling competition. As the competition organisers Mara and Edgars Kļaviņš from the sports club Magnen said, these are the only competitions that may happen that participants suddenly change the direction of the movement and go back to the start, and in the middle of the distance they can start playing between themselves or ten centimetres before the finish decides to sit and take a little rest.
The rules of competitions quite simply - for the brave juveniles, approximately ten metres long distance must be carried out. The disqualification could only be obtained if the baby rose and the distance decided to finish running. How to encourage the little girl to move in the right direction and reach the finish line - there was no end to her parents' imagination. The lover or soft toy, the phone, the car keys, the hangings, the milk bottles, and even the older brothers or sisters, all used to attract the attention of the little crap.
Overall, the competitions took place and their first medals received 27 participants. First, the crawlers had pre-orders, the best qualified for the final. In the girls' competition, reaching 31 seconds, the fastest was the year and month old Santa Livsāne. The winner's parents, Edgar and Oxana, told him that the baby had a very fond of the keys of the car, after which she was always ready to crawl, which was confirmed this time. The second-place bidder, Emily, decided to accelerate by running on his legs, so he was disqualified and took a second place in Lauma, leaving Nick Evelyn in place 3.
On the other hand, Gabriel Indrichan performed at the boy's competition with record-speed score - 18 seconds. The fastest crawler's parents Viola and Maris acknowledged that they had chosen the right strategy: “Momma is the best weapon.” A couple of minutes before they went into the distance, the little man did not see Mom, so he was ready to go to her when she saw her mother. 'Two Roberts, Robert Naglis, and Robert Ishpurs ranked in the second and third place.
Thanks to the support of the Grandma Club, the fastest crawlers had useful prizes - nappies and toys. In assessing the great responsiveness, the organisers say that the daily programme of the Rēzekne municipality with pup crawling competitions will be expanded for the next years.
