International training on youth participation in “Youth actors in Decision Making”

During the period from 7 to 13 January 2017, the Rēzekne municipality of Razna Gulf will organise international training on participation of young people in decision-making processes.
The International Training Initiative: ERASMUS + Youth Mobility Programme “Youth actors in Decision Making” will be organised in collaboration with THE DYPALL Network (Developing Youth participation at Local Level: promotion of youth participation at local level) and the support of the youth international programmes agency.
More than 30 participants, representatives of public organisations, youth workers, youth leaders and local government representatives from 9 countries (Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Turkey and Latvia) will participate in the training of youth participation, in order to share experience, discuss and introduce project participants with their perspective and understanding of the participation of young people in decision-making processes at local, national and European level.
This initiative will serve as a space for the development of competences, dialogue and exchange of experience between the involved youth workers and local government officials who jointly implement and form the structure and mechanisms of the participation of young people in decision-making.
Youth stakeholders are invited to participate in the informal discussion “coffee with politicians” on 10 January 2017 at 9:30, Rezekne Municipalities in the large hall of the municipality, in order to discuss, together with the project participants, the development of new methods and tools for the involvement of young social groups in decision-making processes.
