Reconstruction of municipal gravel roads continues in Rezekne municipality
The Regional Agricultural Administration of the Rural Support Service, by decision No. 01.3-11/19/19/199-e 11.04.2019. on the approval of the project application, has supported the submission of the project of the municipality of Rezekne (No. 18-01-a00702-000113 “Improvement of municipal road infrastructure in Rezekne municipality, 2 nd round”, which was submitted on 12 December 2018 for the rural development of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development in the framework of the Latvian Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 “Basic services and village renewal in rural areas”), which provides for the conversion of six municipal gravel roads into the municipality area with the total length of the gravel roads to be rebuilt, 13,752 km.
Implementation of project No 18-01-a00702-000113 “Improvement of municipal road infrastructure in Rezekne municipality, 2 nd round” has been launched already in early 2019 and planned to be rebuilt:
motorway No. 4401 Bērzgale – Chervonka 2.151 km in Rēzekne municipality in parish Bērzgales. A contract with SIA “roads and bridges” has been entered into for the performance of works, construction works commenced in the month of January 2019;
road No 8201 Jaunricava – Kalvi 2.325 km Rēzekne municipality in parish Rikavas. A contract with SIA “roads and bridges” has been entered into for the performance of works, construction works commenced in the month of January 2019;
road No. 6005 Kozlovka – Souls 1.836 km in Rēzekne municipality in parish Kantinieku. A contract with SIA “Vaivars” has been entered into regarding the performance of works, construction works commenced in the month of March of that year;
road No. 5030 Vilnius – Pilcene 2.187 km Rēzekne municipality in parish Dricānu. A contract with SIA “roads and bridges” has been entered into regarding the performance of works, construction work commenced in the month of January of that year;
road No. 7502 Saukers - Dierva 2.548 km Rēzekne municipality in parish Nautrēnu. A contract with SIA “Relat construction” has been entered into for the performance of construction works, construction works commenced in the month of January 2019;
motorway No. 8603 Uļjanova – Vorlimus 2.705 km in Rēzekne municipality IN parish Sakstagala. A contract with SIA “Vaivars” was concluded for the performance of construction works, construction works started in the month of March of that year.
The construction of all these roads is ensured BY THE “ACM project” OF SIA.
The aim of the project is to improve the quality of the gravel roads of the municipality of Rezekne for the promotion of rural business and ensuring the reach of the local population.
The total cost of the project is EUR 1 905 414.01, the amount of eligible costs of the project is EUR 1 808 903.19, of which 90% planned EAFRD public funding OF EUR 1 628 012,86 and 10% municipal financing OF EUR 180 890,33. The municipality also finances the ineligible costs of the project, which is EUR 96 510.82.
The implementation of the project is planned until 1 April 2021.
