Children of Ukrainian soldiers in Rēzekne municipality

From July 29 to August 2, the Guard Centre organizes camp for children from Ukraine, whose parents are soldiers in the Ukrainian armed forces and the Ukrainian National Guard.
This year, this camp will be chaired by the 2 nd District Division of the Guard Centre, who will receive children in Latgale. During the camp, a variety of activities and excursions are intended for children, including a trip to Aglona, during which it is planned to visit the Aglona Basilica, the king's mountain, the war museum, as well as the museum of bread. An excursion to Daugavpils - Daugavpils fortress and the visit of Daugavpils scientific centre will also be organised. The participants of the camp will also be able to acquaint themselves with the new Guard movement, as individual activities will be managed by the newsguards of the new guards.
30 July at 11:00 Maltas in high school will be visited by Minister of Defence Dr. Artis Pabriks, Ambassador of Ukraine to Latvia Alexander Michenko (Olexandr Mischenko) and President of the National Armed Forces Elmar Pļaviņš and meet with the children of Ukrainian soldiers.
For the sixth year, the Latvian defence sector provides support to Ukrainian soldiers and their families as a result of the military conflict. A new tradition was launched in 2017 - the New Guard organizes the camp in the summer of the Ukrainian armed forces and the Ukrainian National Guard soldiers so they can rest, meet young guards and go into shared adventures.
