Rikava is engraved

Today, there is a growing focus on rock and artisanal works – although we live in the technical age, where opportunities are practically unrestricted and industrial can make almost everything, but the work of hands is valued higher and very often in terms of price – much more expensive. Therefore, in order to develop and strengthen our pupils' skills in crafts, in December 2014, AT Gaigalavas primary school unit Rikavas, a technical innovation project “radi together!” was implemented at the primary school, which was financed by the Education Board of the municipality of Rezekne. The resulting funds were purchased for the twisting of wood, soldiers and ballasts for the burning of wood, as well as electrical engraving instruments.

Wood processing – turnaround, carving, burning – is one of the skills that boys and young people learn at school, household and technology hours. In turn, the engraving of our pupils is engraved in an engraving group that has been working FOR a second year AT Rikavas in elementary school. Engraving is one of the lesson that develops not only practical skills and improves hand-to-hand motor, but also develops the character because it requires patience, attention, determination. The electrical instruments purchased will not only enable new technical devices to operate, but also create practical and household-useful things or design objects that are not surrounded by the surrounding, combining engraving and wood processing elements.
