The third project of youth initiatives has been implemented in Rikava

The project “You're also active in winter!” has been implemented thanks to the funding of the Rēzekne municipality's educational administration for projects of youth initiatives, which provide for the purchase of equipment and equipment for youth activities. In the spring of 2016, 43 projects were submitted in the competition for educational administration projects launched, of which 27 projects were supported, including the project submitted BY Rikavas.

“You're also active in winter!” is a follow-up to the project “You're Active!” performed last year, which resulted in an opportunity to purchase a volleyball and football field inventory. The earned inventory was used in the summer season, every afternoon in the school stadium, young people gathered to spend their free time in active, sporting and healthy life. Among other things, the youth competition in volleyball was also organised in July, where seven youth teams from the nearest neighborhood parishes took part. It is hoped that these competitions will become a tradition and will be organised next year.

It is possible that the competition will also be organised in winter because the project “you're active in winter!” resulted in a hockey inventory of 640.00 euros – 2 hockey gates, 15 hockey clubs, hockey wheels and hockey stubs. In the winter period, THE Rikavas parish hockey game is the most popular. Many parish young people are impatiently waiting for winter to play hockey faster.
