RTA event “burger with scientist”

On November 8, in the premises of the Rēzekne Technology Academy (RTA), a strange activity took place throughout the day, as the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) organised an informative event “burger with a scientist”.
The aim of the measure is to provide entrepreneurs with an opportunity to learn more about what themes are being investigated by scientists and what are the opportunities for real cooperation so that scientists explore the issues that are topical in the business environment.
Entrepreneurs, receiving a wide range of information and encouragement for future work, took part in individual consultations. On the other hand, SIA “Technical Textiles” leader Guntars Šults told the positive experience in the practice. “The company cooperates with the Rēzekne Technology Academy over a long period of time. Using laser equipment available in the Academy, we have the opportunity to experiment and seek solutions for activities that cannot be carried out with equipment in the company,” emphasized G. Shine.
Rēzekne Technology Academy Project Management and Technology Transfer Head Liente Litavniece said about potential support to businesses, highlighting positive examples in collaboration with entrepreneurs, implementing the SalesLabs project and RTA scientific grants.
Students and faculty of the Rēzekne Technology Academy had the opportunity to learn more about the opportunity voucher program, which is implemented by Latvian Investment and Development Agency. The event at the end of the event continued with burgers and talks in an informal atmosphere.
