Education

For several years, the National Centre for Educational Content (VISC), in collaboration with Jsc “Latvenergo”, organizes an environmental awareness game competition “Welcome the Environment!”. Also, we, Sakstagala Jānis KCo., took part in this competition and, along with Ventspils 2 nd primary school, got the main prize - a trip with a ferry to Stockholm, which has been smoked by Tallink Latvia. Ventspils Primary School won a prize for the game “plot electricity”, but we, Sakstagala Jānis Kaida pamatskola School, -- on the game “will work vigorously!”.
Consciousness games could be individual or group work (a maximum of 5 participants can perform one work), they could be different by shape – role games, table games, simulation games, computer games, motion games, etc., but they had to be with the enquiry elements – a participant, playing it, learns something new about the environment. The theme of the 2014 games was “energy”. To create games, we searched for information in Internet hosts, textbooks and encyclopedia, playing many games in both home and villages - the Nature Education Center “Razna” in Lipupils. We were pleased with our success and waited with great impatience for our first trip abroad.
With some awe on the “Isabella” of the ferry! There was also a great surprise on the ship: tempting offers, fun games, and amazing shows. It was interesting for children and adults. An integral part of the cruise journey is the rich choice of food and the excitement of the various flavours we enjoyed during breakfast and dinner at Swedish table restaurants.
If you go to Stockholm cruise trip with one of the Tallink ferries, then know that the city's view, entertainment, and other ideas have only six hours of time.
We went to Stockholm with a guide. We saw the embassy districts, the most important Stockholm blocks, the city centre and the old city, and other beautiful and significant places in the Swedish capital. Since Stockholm has not been affected by war since 1520, the ancient part of the city has remained relatively authentic, with medieval planning, many ancient buildings. There is also a Royal Palace, the Nobel Museum, where Nobel Prize has been published in literature since 1901 on the day of the death of a scientist on 10 December.
We also saw the latest museum devoted to the legendary Swedish pop group ABBA. There was also a chance to look at the wonderful city panorama of Fjällgatan, see entertainment and amusement park. Grōna Lund with American hills, free-fall attractions. In the excursion we learned a lot of interesting about Stockholm, its history and the great people. As the ferry was only 5 km from the end of the excursion, we decided to look at the city as we walked. The large amount of bicycles was amazed, as the cyclists in Stockholm are built around the city, which provides comfortable and safe movement. June is the time of graduation in Stockholm. All passioners, with exclamation, greeted graduates who moved to a large truck in their trailers, decorated with medals.
During the excursion, we made a great deal of impressions. To see the world, enjoy Swedish culture, hear Swedish language, use foreign language knowledge - they were our privilege during the journey.
The trip to Stockholm was charging us with a positive mood and a nice memory. A wonderful summer for all the pupils, with a variety of fun, bright impressions!
