Primary school teachers are invited to apply for an international eTwinning seminar on digital skills

The Agency for International Program for Youth in the framework of the eTwinning Network of European Schools is launching an application for participation in an international seminar for teachers of different learning subjects on digital skills in the learning process and eTwinning projects. The seminar will be held in Dublin, Ireland between 14 and 16 November.
Deadline for application – 12 October 2014, filling in the online questionnaire http://ej.uz/anketa_cs_dublin. The seminar is organised by the Irish eTwinning National Support Service in cooperation with the Latvian eTwinning National Support Service. Working language of the seminar: English.
Seminar teachers will learn the tools of the eTwinning.net platform in practice sessions, be able to learn about the ability of teachers to participate in international online projects, as well as to learn the experience of colleagues in the use of information and communication technologies in learning and eTwinning projects. A practical eTwinning project will also be conducted during the seminar – participants will discuss project ideas, search for project co-operation partners and also record projects during the sessions.

Requirements for applicants:

  • Pre-school/primary school teachers who teach pupils between 5 and 12 years of age
  • Registered www.etwinning.net
  • There are ideas for eTwinning projects on the development of entrepreneurship skills at school
  • Can communicate in English
  • After a seminar, ready to realize an eTwinning project in your educational institution
  • Ready to distribute information on eTwinning in the educational institutions of your region (at least 2 speeches within 3 months of the event).

eTwinning provides transport and covers transport costs Riga – Dublin – Riga, including transport costs within the workshop programme. ETwinning also covers seminar membership fees, hotels and catering expenses. The participant shall enter into a cooperation agreement with the youth international programme agency before the event.

eTwinning is a European Schools' Network aimed at promoting cooperation between educational institutions through Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). eTwinning is implemented within the framework of the European Union's education, training, youth and sport programmes Erasmus + through the project as a method for learning and education and promoting the continuing education OF teachers IN ICT and language. In 2013, 673 educational staff were involved in the programme, with 261 training projects being implemented during the year. Since 2005, more than 2400 educational staff from 875 Latvian educational institutions have been registered in the eTwinning programme, with more than 1000 projects (January 2014 statistics).
