“Saldie” team – Vērēmu parish champions in volleyball

On December 3, the Aamowa Sports Hall was held for a second year at THE Rēzekne Municipality Vērēmu parish cup in volleyball mixed teams. The competition was held in a non-traditional composition: two women and four men. This year, twelve teams participated in the championship: “sweet”, McCasanas, Bērzgale, “Jorge strap”, Feimaņi, Rezekne, Bērzgales young people, RTA, “Režac”, Vērēmu veterans, Nautrēni, Gaigalava.
The teams were divided into three subgroups, the two most powerful from each sub-group, and three teams, Rēzekne, “sweet” and Nautrēni, were fighting for the cup.
I have to say that several teams showed good results until even the last games were clear which team would win.
In the final game, the forces are scaled “” against Nautrēniem. The win was won by the team's “sweet” players, leaving a team OF Nautrēnu in second place, which was a worthy opponent for winners.
First-place winners -- Edgars Massals, Guntars Kukars, Raitis Baltpurhe, Martin Strod, Arnis Tiven, Lena Gailums, Alexander Plops, Ilona Vabale -- received a cup, medals and diplomas.
Lena Gailums and Guntars Kukars were recognised as the best players from the team 'saldie, receiving small cups in the prize.
The 3 rd place was won by the Rēzekne team. 2. -3. was awarded by diplomas and medals. Thank all team members for their participation in our parish cup!
It must be acknowledged that in these types of tournaments, young players experience experience playing both against and with experienced players who are not a minor factor in their growth.
