SIA Gravtex receives a prize for industrial design

Rēzekne Municipality SIA Gravtex was awarded a prize for the second place in the nomination “industrial design” by THE Latvian Investment and Development Agency and the Ministry of Economics.
SIA Gravtex produces wooden fence panels that can be adjusted according to the wishes of each customer, can select both the standard fence solution and the fences with ornamental 3D design articles. The company also produces decorative wooden wall panels and facade trim panels from plywood. The owner of the company Andris Filipenoks states: “we do not create large stocks of goods, make them by order. We've developed catalogues with their design options, customers can choose a particular article, material, and its thickness. People can also offer their own article, we are open - they send their vision, process it and realize it in life. '
The company is active in acquiring its products in foreign markets. SIA Gravtex participated in THE SIA trade mission in Russia in Pskov and Finland in Helsinki, exhibiting its products at THE Latvian joint stall at the British leading wood processing exhibition “Timber Expo” in the city of Birmingham. Participation in missions and exhibitions crosses real orders. Customer responsiveness and received recognition words motivate the company to realize future plans.
The competition “Export and Innovation Award” has been held for the twelfth year, the aim of which is to express recognition and honor Latvian entrepreneurs who have achieved good results in the production of new and exportable products, ensuring the local market with high-quality domestic products, implementation of innovation and the development of industrial design. In total, in 2016, 117 applications were submitted in 5 categories (information on all tenders available), of which 32 companies were nominated.
