Silmalas parish will implement the project “Acquisition of suits for dance ensemble“ I-dya ””

On 26 July 2019, the Regional Agricultural Administration of the Rural Support Service approved project No 19-01-AL15-a019 .2202-000011 “Purchase of clothes for dance anamblim I-dya”, which was submitted to the Latvian Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 of the rural development programme financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: 19.2. “Implementation of the action under the community-led local development strategy” activities: 19.2.2. “Place potential development initiatives” within the framework of the project.
The aim of the project is the development and promotion of cultural life among the population of Rezekne, supporting public initiatives and opportunities to promote the development of the women's dance collective “I - dance” by purchasing two stage suits with an total of 80 suits. Silmalas CN women's dance ensemble “I-Danja” is an active participant in the cultural life of Rezekne. The implementation of the project's idea will fill a collective bargaining dream of improving the image of the stage, which will contribute to the development of the participants' self-expression and will also contribute to the development of the quality of cultural life in rural areas. Dance collectively fulfils the dances of both the various genres and the various peoples who also contribute to the role of patriotic education. It is planned that the suits purchased with project support will be not only different but also multifunctional, which will allow each new dance to be performed in a different dress. During the implementation of the project, two sets of stage suits from 80 suite units from which 10-12 suits can be drawn up will be purchased.
The collective “I-dya” is 10 participants, it is new, established only in October 2017, but there are already 12 different dances in the repertoire, which need a stage.
A contract will be concluded with SIA “rota R” from Rezekne.
The total cost of the project is EUR 4589,29, including EAFRD funding OF 90% or EUR 4130,36, municipal co-financing OF 10% - 458,93 EUR. The project co-financing of 10% of the project amount will be provided from the budget resources of the “Maltas parish government” unit of the municipality of Rezekne. The project will be implemented over the period up to 3 February 2020.
The acquisition of new clothes will increase collective professionalism and the satisfaction of participants on active participation in the cultural life of Rezekne. This will promote the promotion of parish and county image in society. Let the viewers - Rezekne District residents and guests - receive more pleasure from the collections provided by the collective. The project will contribute to the development of THE VRG area and the strengthening of its identity as the number of collective performances will increase.
