By celebrating the 550 th anniversary, since the article IS mentioned IN Bērzgales, THIS year, Bērzgale participates in the promotion of the “centennial green-ball”.
On the evening of August 11, pupils and villages were invited to gather in an open-air erection AT Bērzgales in the Peninsula. The group “lake” and the children of children Harry and Edgar will be a fun deioner. In the course of the evening there will be a chance to study and defeat the People's dancers.
Hundreds of days before the 100 th birthday of Latvia's country and continue the tradition to dance, musical and together to be in Latvia and elsewhere in the world. It is an invitation to meet everyone – those who have had a special note in the spirit of their youth and those who are still familiar with this Latvian tradition.
In ancient times, Latvians have been able to find time to gather together on the dance. The neighbor spoke to the neighbor, walking a couple of kilometres in a long walk on the lamps illuminated, healing and delighted to meet. We are still doing this tradition. Changing times, changing traditions and customs, but the constant need for people to meet, be together, sing, dance.
The ball in the greens is a special magic when the dance is all, both the shy school boy with a puzzled class girl, the brave parish farmer with his wife, and the city's scotch with a barely familiar lady in the wind's flapping hair.
They are memories, they are the stories of places and people, that is a meeting that can also be a great contribution to history savings.
I therefore call on older children of the year to remember the green-balls of their youth on the hammer bridge, the Roman home and other places IN Bērzgales parish and leave this testimony IN THE museum or cultural house OF Bērzgales.
