Vigorous competition in Latgale youth chess league 3 rd season

On 29 March, AT THE Maltas Chess Club, Rēzekne Municipality's children-youth sports school organised the events of the 3 rd season in Latgale youth chess league. This year, a half-hundred new chess from Rezekne, Jekabpils, Viļāniem, Maltas and Tiles participated in the competition. This time, the team championship played 9 units of the Eastern Latvian region. The maches went into three stages in November, January and March. After the individual system, 9 consecutive games were played with a time control of 25 minutes plus 10 seconds per lot. However, in the overall assessment, each member represented only his own team. The fact that the competition was quite stiff is the fact that the three teams of the Rēzekne sports school won the 2 nd stage, and in season 3 two TEAMS OF Maltas and Jçkabpils. Also, point amounts are minimal for many teams. For Latgale youth championships, 22 points this time became coach Alexander Vasilkova Rēzekne BJSS-1 team chess Anna Kazmerica, Maksims Šestakov, Lauris Lazovskis and Raivis Otzulis. Laimonne Taranda and Daniel Pleaskane were still playing in the team. Latgale Youth Chess League (LJSHL) vicechampionship, leaving only a half-point, Jçkabpils-1 team (coach G.Pushmucan). The bronze medal for the Rēzekne municipality, from Maltas, was helped by Jekaterina Smirnov, Adrian Tashkan, Daniil Squenarov and Janis Grudriks, the reserve was Ilya Froļenkov. The team won 18,5 points (coach Anatolijs Jasinskis). In the individual census, boys IN THE U14 group 1 st place Renars Petrov, 2 nd – Christer Police (both from Jçkabpils sports school), 3 rd place – Maksims Šestakov (Rezekne BJSS); IN THE U11 group 1 st place Marty Krakops (Tilja, coach Maldra Strupka), 2 nd place – jēkabpilietis Rainers leaf, 3 rd place – rēzeknietis Arthnijs Vinogradovs. For girls IN THE U14 group, the best was Jekaterina Smirnova, silver for Anna Kazmerica and third position Alice Klidzina from Jacob; while IN U11 the gold medal Christine Georgian from Maltas, silver for Janet Klushai (Rezekne), bronze Yelizaveta Kuznecov (Viļāni, coach Tatjana Samuilova).
