In cooperation with employers, the State Employment Agency (SEA) will also implement a pupil summer employment event from early June to the end of August, in which students from 15 to 20 years of age who attend general, special or vocational education institutions will be able to participate. Already in April, SEA is planning to announce employers' application for participation in a school summer employment event. Pupils' application for participation in “employment measures at summer holidays for persons who receive education in general, special or vocational educational institutions” will be announced in May. This year students will be able to sign up for summer work electronically via THE NVA website.
While working during summer holidays, pupils will gain practical experience on the labour market environment, find out what is the work interview, the conclusion of employment contracts, job duties and employment legal relationships. It should be stressed that students should not be employed in jobs involving increased risk to their safety, health, morality and development.
The employer will be able to apply FOR a BRANCH OF THE SEA, which provides for the creation of a pupil's place of service in the service area. THE SEA branch with an employer will conclude a co-operation contract, while the employer with a student will enter into a contract of employment, providing a student of a student who will help young people to acquire the basic skills and skills necessary for work.
THE SNA employer will provide a grant for a monthly salary of 50 % of the national minimum monthly salary, as well as a grant for the wages of the employer. For the management of 10 pupils' work, THE SEA will grant a grant in the amount of the minimum monthly salary determined in the State, respectively, the amount of the grant of one pupil will be one tenth of the amount of the minimum monthly wage determined in the State. One job manager will be able to manage up to 10 pupils.
THE SEA will also pay expenses for health checks for pupils, if they are provided for in the regulatory enactments regarding mandatory health checks, and insured pupils against possible accidents at workplaces.
A student who will be working at a summer holiday will not be removed from his parents' dependency, provided for by the Law on Personal Income Tax, and the parents will retain tax relief, if any.
In 2015, 3500 pupils are planned to be involved in the school summer employment event.
