Sporting activities on the day of Rezekne municipality

Every year, on the day of Rezekne's municipality, it is particularly advisable on athletic activity fans. Besides the usual and visitor-favoured striping and fighting games, this year came out with a number of sporting innovations - the crawling races and the labyrinth of orientation.
As a customary celebration, the basketball player was invited to find out the best team in the quartball competition. A basketball club “Lazdukalns” was won by the wrestling men in competition, while the best of them were Ozolmuižas athletes.
For a third year, the strongest rural men are found on the day of the Rēzekne municipality. By this time, eight tribes from five parishes could be tested in seven disciplines, including the tractor tyres, the construction of the building, the absence of blocks, the movement of beer barrels and the lifting of logs. As a result of a five-point overweight in Rēzekne District, Oļegs Zakutajevs from Silmalas parish, the 2 nd place ranked IN Audriņu parish, Aldis Turumnieks, and the 3 th place was acquired by Juris Pimanovs from Sakstagala parish.
For the first time, every one interested in his orientation skills, strength, and agility could be tested in the labyrinth of orientation. From 60 x 15 metres, the most rapid exit was found by Robert Cakuls (1:59), who started in the boy group, Ieva Paškevich (2:24, girl group), Roland Vilnius (3:14, male group), Elvita Kotane (2:19, women's group), as well as “growers” (4:42) in competition.
The sports club “Magnen” (Edgars Kļaviņš and Mars Kļaviņš), as well as the sports specialist Igor Derjagin and the youth affairs specialist Janis Šaudiņš, was organized by the sports club on the day of Rezekne.
