Latgale tourism specialists successfully participated in international tourism exhibition Balttour
Tourism specialists of Latgale and city local governments popularised the diversity of Latgale tourism and cities in the international tourism exhibition “Balttour 2017”, which took place on 3-5 February, which took place on 3-5 February.
Thanks to Latgale tourism association “Ezerland” for targeted work and support of Latgale municipalities, a large tourism offer, available in Latgale – accommodation, viewing facilities, new cycling routes, tourist routes, cultural heritage, active tourism opportunities, offers to families with children, resting at waters and natural sites, was included in the region bench. Latgale local tourism information centre specialists have prepared new tourism materials for visitors to the exhibition, which will definitely help to schedule travel to Latgale. In Latgale stands, the traditionally large consent was Latgale ceramic. In the course of all three days of exhibitions around Preilu keramic Raivo Anderson, a large number of leads gathered. In particular, the children were enthusiastically seated with the podcasts and made their first masterpiece. A large consent was also given to the popular medicinal products offered by the farm “Kurdars” of the municipality of Kraslava. For the visitors of Latgale stands, the Chuckle housekeeper of the “Cells” bakery and the popular tv shows of the “real Latvia housewife”, Janis Krivtej, was organized. The Gunārs igrais took care of the funny mood.
Visitors of Latgale stands were particularly interested in resting families with children this year, resting on water, active recreational facilities, new tourism objects and accommodation. As in previous years, there was an interest in nature parks and individual natural objects that year.
During the exhibition, the winners of the competition “Year of the Year 2016” were awarded. We welcome and sincerely welcome our colleagues - Kraslava BELIEVES the leader Tatjana Kosachuk, who became the “best tourist information centre manager 2016” of the competition “year man in tourism 2016”. It is important that the “year man in tourism 2016” is determined by the jury in nine people, consisting of business experts of the tourism industry, leaders of tourism associations, laureates of spent years, representatives of national tourism, as well as representatives of “BalticTravelnews.com”. The “year man in tourism 2016” has two criteria: public activity in favour of the tourism sector or an innovative idea which has a positive impact on Latvian tourism industry, a successful master of his trade. Since 2003, the award has been given for the 14 th time and has gained a significant status in the Latvian tourism sector and Latvian economy.
International tourism exhibition “Balttour” is the most important meeting place in the Baltics for tourism professionals and potential tourist products consumers, where new contacts are formed and existing cooperation is strengthened, it is also a place where individual travellers can be addressed. After a creative and intense work at the exhibition, we will prepare for the new tourism season and we will be happy to wait for tourists in Latgale.
Four international tourist exhibitions - fairs in Finland, Netherlands, Lithuania and Latvia have already been celebrated this year in promotion of tourism tourism. Further work is expected in international tourism exhibitions in Estonia and Germany - Munich and Berlin.
