“Start strong!” supports successful career making

From 11 to 13 June, the municipality of Rezekne, in cooperation with THE US embassy in Latvia, organised three-day courses on strengthening entrepreneurship skills “Start strong!”. The lesson was directed by Tatjana Bogusvičs and US Embassy representative Andris Arhomkins, the head of Riga Stradiņš University, while his experience in business activities was told by the “Rosalie” manager of the “Rosalie” restaurant “Rosalie” of the hotel “Rosalie”, an electric guitar manufacturer Janis Kuzminsky from Rēzekne municipality of Čornajas parish, as well AS the head of the Ozolaines parish administration, Director Edgars Blinovs. The participants of the course also had the opportunity to meet with the professional consultant Sandra Ragausi, a career consultant of the State Agency of Employment, who told him about the opportunities offered by the agency for young people to enter the labour market.

More than 40 participants were actively involved in training activities: drawing up their CVs and motivation letters, seeing their work interview and how to prepare it correctly, listening to lectures on the label, the art of speech, and the ability to express their idea quickly. In addition, the role of social media in job search and entrepreneurship, as well as “Networking”, or how to create contacts with people and other topics, was discussed.

After training, the participants admitted that the courses were very valuable. “The career development programme seminar“ Start strong ”applied for, as i was addressed both by the content of the seminar and by the fact that the workshop leaders were people who are professionals in their field, they themselves have been, so to say, both employers and employees. Andris Arhomkins and Tatjana Bogusvich are a very good team, positive and attractive people, and it is pleasant to work with them and they want to inspire them. In my memory, the task of remembering and comparing the dream of my childhood with what we are now is, whether we have filled our childhood dream or go to it. The man who filled his dream is happy, because the work you do is your hobby, not the burden of money. If we want to achieve something, then it will be, the main thing is to do. My discovery was that i was on the right road to realize my dream," -- the seminar party, THE leader of THE Pušas People's House, Martin Krasnobay.

After training, young people received certificates of successful and active participation in training. It should be noted that the “Start strong!” tour was started in Rezekne, which will continue throughout the summer in other cities, including at the beginning of July in Ludza, then in Salacgriva, Bauska, Liepaja, Kuldīga, Saldou and other cities.
