On the last day of October, in a warm and emotionally filled atmosphere, the newly installed knee cross was enclosed in the village of Shergana. In the presence of a large crowd of parish people, the parish, Maris Laureckis, was chaired by the parish.
The idea of setting up a new cross was long since the old man had been physically and morally worn out for many years. The problem was that it was privately owned and the new owners were not interested in combining or maintaining a cross.
The Consultative Council, hearing people, wrote a letter to the parish head of administration with a request to restore and install a cross in another place. A number of possible cross locations were considered and evaluated with the parish litigation. Finally, it was agreed that the new cross would be in front of the existing captain. Visually, the cross is now very well in the territory of a village in a new park.
With the support of the parish administration, the necessary construction materials and colours were provided. All works were done by parish workers. Flowers, decorative bushes and evergreen trees were planted in the vicinity of the cross.
In the wedding ceremony, the lawsuit thanked all the people who took part in the crossings, prayed for them and wished for God's mercy. The pupils took a warm poem and placed the candles on the cross. The words of gratitude in his speech were also said BY THE head of THE Stružānu parish administration Vilis Tutin, stressing that all together we can solve the painful issues and realize the intended dreams.
At the end of the Sunday, all the attendants agreed in a joint prayer. The lawsuit Maris Laureckis wanted the young cross to bless the village and the people who gathered here in the May songs, to pray for the soul day or during the Adventa, or just go by, shaking his head respectfully. The main thing is that every prayer and every wish would come from the heart, and then we'll feel the gods in all the jobs and relationships.
